It is a bit of satire; a composition to paint with a bunch of visual stuff - shapes, foreground, midground, background, etc.
"Societies need to come undone. How exciting when the first shirt button pops!" -Paul Gachot: gazpachot.blogspot.com. Big thanks to Paul who has made cogent suggestions and edited some of my rambling writing.
This is the first of a number of large oil paintings I intend to produce.
The Blog
The earliest entries are at the bottom... newest at the top.
Below is a grayscale rough for the painting's composition.

Oh. Poking fun at the Christian and the Bible. I see.
It did look like a dream; maybe it the world's greatest nightmare?
A new title:
The Rapture, the World's Greatest Nightmare.
"The World's Greatest Nightmare" ...? No, not really. Folks needs to explain and give organizational credence to their understanding of birth and death, to get it all pigeon-holed so they can go about living life. I have no problem with that. Religion is like any other human construct... It's got its good side and it's got its bad side. And it offers up rich visual fodder for guys like me.... :)
