It is a bit of satire; a composition to paint with a bunch of visual stuff - shapes, foreground, midground, background, etc.

Reminds me a little bit of Harvey Darger. Probably from the mix ofthe childish feeling of the style and the seriousness of the subject.
Thanks for the comment Manuel. Did you mean Henry Darger? Either way, I had not heard of him before and greatly appreciate you introduction to his life and work. Quite extraordinary... if you meant Henry Darger. Couldn't find much on a Harvey Darger...
