It is a bit of satire; a composition to paint with a bunch of visual stuff - shapes, foreground, midground, background, etc.
"Societies need to come undone. How exciting when the first shirt button pops!" -Paul Gachot: gazpachot.blogspot.com. Big thanks to Paul who has made cogent suggestions and edited some of my rambling writing.
This is the first of a number of large oil paintings I intend to produce.

Looking thru your work and came across your painting {"The Irreverant Rapture." depicting what the end times Christian event known as the Rapture might look like}. When actually the rapture is not part of end times. The rapture ends the period know today as the church age(our current time). The removal of all, who have believed in Christ as their personal savior and begins the 7 year time period in the Bible known as the Tribulation. There is much confusion among Christians about this topic, but careful study of the Bible explains these events. Enjoyed looking at your work. Next time I look in a Highlights magazine, I will look for your illustrations.
Thanks for the clarification... I made changes to my descriptive copy based upon your comment...
